How to use a Qigong technique to help a child to sleep.

One of the techniques in qigong to help the practitioner to relax is to think the opposite direction as to the body movements. When you raise your hands, you think lower your hands at the same time. When turn to the left you think to the right, etc.  

One of the application of this principle is to lower a child to his bed to sleep. When you put a child down to his bed, you should think up while your hands holding the child go down, so that the child will not have a sudden sensation of being put to bed and wake up. Since every mother has a natural ability to put her child peacefully to sleep, they are doing qigong without realizing it.
